Company Shops Market's first organizational meeting for local growers and producers!

Company Shops Market hosted its first local producer meeting at the Alamance Cooperative Extension offices in Burlington. Approximately 50 growers, ranchers and producers of valued added products filled the conference room to hear the vision about Company Shops Market and its commitment to buying and selling local, sustainably produced goods. Attendees were asked to fill out a detailed questionnaire about their products and farms. Former extension head, Rhett Davis, agreed to chair a Producer Relations Committee along with Roger Cobb, Sam Moore and a few others that expressed interest at the meeting. This committee is now charged with creating a Local Producer Purchasing Policy and Farm Visit Protocol modeled after the work completed at Chatham Marketplace in Pittsboro. These efforts will allow Company Shops Market to open its doors with local products in every department. If you would like to express interest in being a local vendor, please please fill-out the form on the “Become a Local Supplier” page of the website or contact Melissa at 336-314-1972.
